Huawei EPSD Service Board is an 8-port EPON OLT interface board that works with the terminal ONT (Optical Network Terminal) to implement the OLT function of the EPON system.
HW EPSD Service Board is 8-port EPON service board for MA5680T/MA5683T etc OLT products. Huawei EPON (HW Ethernet Passive Optical Network) is a new type of fibre access network technology. Huawei EPON adopts the point-to-multipoint structure and passive optical fibre transmission to provide multiple services on the Ethernet. Huawei EPON adopts PON technology in the physical layer, uses Ethernet protocol in the link layer, and realizes Ethernet access by using PON topology. Therefore, HW EPON combines the advantages of PON technology and Ethernet technology: low cost; high bandwidth; strong scalability, flexible and fast service reorganization; compatibility with existing Ethernet; convenient management and so on.
